I have a Frigidaire 1-18 matched set (white) that I use everyday; they work beautifully! (We "inherited" them with our house.)

The belt on the washer has broken. (It may have been the original--it's marked "Frigidaire 0638600DF"). Could anyone here point me to a source for a diagram that shows how the replacement belt should be positioned?

Thanks! dustycrown

Frigidaire 1-18

Hey Dusty, you might check with Dave at Dave's repair. He has a listing on e-bay and has been a good source of repair books for the machine's that i have. (i also have a matched set of 1-18's) I don't have a repair manual for these though. If i get a chance i will take a picture of the mechanicals of my machine and maybe that will help show the placement of the belt.

Where in MO might you be located? Just south of St. Louis here.....

Frigidaire 1-18

Thanks for the info! We're reasonably sure that we know the path for the belt, but it looks like the belt may have been "chewed" a little from contacting something it shouldn't have. So we want to be sure when we put it back that it's in the right place.

We're in Springfield, MO, by the way. Along with the Frigidaire W/D set, the house also came with a beautiful 1962 Frigidaire refrigerator (coppertone, lots of chrome, with an aqua interior) and a Tappan cooktop and wall oven (also coppertone), all of which I use everyday. I love them! The white/black/stainless color choices you're limited to with new appliances just wouldn't look right in my vintage kitchen.

you beat me to it

Hey Patrick, thanks for posting the picture, i just haven't had time to do it.........Mark

Thanks!

Thanks so much! That's exactly what we needed!

FYI, there's a great retro GE wall oven (yellow) on ebay--looks like late 1950s. Really nice..
