I have a Frigidaire Heavy Duty 1-18 Washer that came with the home that I purchased. I have been using the washer for the past 14 years and had no problems other than changing a belt twice. The other day, I noticed water around the washer after running a load. Upon removing the front cover, I have found that the leak is coming from underneath the drum/tub. I found another thread from someone with a similar issue and from the sounds of it, I should just get a new washer. If the fix is really as difficult as everyone is saying (due to finding parts)... where can I go about finding another 1-18 washer? As a single mother with a tight budget, I would much rather spend money on another 1-18 that I know will "run forever" than the "new" washers that have problems as soon as you install them (LoL...but seriously). If it's not super difficult to fix, can someone explain how to go about fixing it? In the picture, I am pointing to the plastic cover underneath that water comes streaming out of from what looks like the center of the drum/tub.

The outer bellow under the agitator may have a split in it

It is not a simple repair but not much harder than changing the belt on this washer.

If you really like this washer and want to take it apart you may be able to to fix it, however the odds of finding another 1-18 that will run forever are small, if you don't want to buy a new washer look for a good WP or KM top load washer from 1990-2005 these are much easier to keep going for a long time.

Hmmm... that may be my thread from this summer that you found.  In my case the bellows were fine and the tub seal was changed. I still have a pretty good drip (compared to a torrent before) so I'll have to take another look this spring.  2017 was not a good one for my washers, alas.

Hey Steffin, check out these threads. One is by jetcone, or Dr. Frigidaire, who shows a complete rebuild of his machine including parts numbers. Other threads show people who have similar sounding issues and the fix they used.
