Worth the trouble!

That's a cute stove and well maintained.  I have a feeling the person who let it go wasn't the original owner . . .

 

I'm trying to piece together how this stove ended up in the seller's possession.  Is he the contractor?  A scrapper who realized it's worth more than scrap value (but not $500)?
