Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

The avocado RCDEG-37CU or RCDEG-37CW ceramatop range seems to be in better than average shape. The Ceramatop isn't too badly stained and the control panel seems OK too. If I would live nearby, I'd be tempted to get it!

The dishwasher is a twin of my Custom Deluxe. Mine is a DW-CDU but I guess it could also be a DW-CDUU. It just seems to be missing the aluminum disc and it's plastic backing on the dial. It's the model with the plastic inner door and white plastisol coating. If I recall, you had a similar Imperial but with the blue plastisol and metal inner door.

in 1971 & 1973,

.
my father built 2 houses. We had GM cars at that time and in each of the two homes all of the appliances including the washer and dryer were Frigidaire..expect the dishwashers which were Kitchenaid...after reading here i guess i now know why.
The range in the second home looked exactly as the one above except it was self cleaning so it had a lever and light specific to that feature. And i'm fairly certain ours lacked a window.
Also the second home had a Kitchenaid trash compactor..come to think of it the compactor is still there but hasn't been used in 20 yrs! All the appliances were that same gold/mustard color regarless of brand.

KitchenAid DWs In Frigidaire Kitchens

KA DWs were so widely considered the BEST DWs that KA even sold front panels in Poppy so 1970s buyers of Frigidaire kitchen appliances could have matching appliances and avoid the short lived and poorer performing FD DWs.

Most Frigidaire appliance dealers even sold KA DWs, the FD sales reps just had to look the other way, LOL.

Phil,

The 40" range in the post #107 is a Deluxe RD-20-63 (from 1963), it's not a 1969 Imperial as the ad says (unless they're showing the wrong picture!).

And in the #108, the free Flair is a 30" 1964 Custom Deluxe RCDH-630, not the RCIB-645-2 that's just shown in the ad to demonstrate how the stove top pulls out.

Here are the pictures of the free Flair:
