I'm in a rental with an 10 year old Frigidaire dishwasher which will fill and drain but not spray. I think the upper impeller is jammed. I don't have an instruction book. Have been on Frigidaire's website and they have a use/care book but no parts list. Emailed Frigidaire (props to them) yesterday at 7 pm and had a response at 6:30 am this morning to say "no parts list available...but he indicated that he could help me with a specific assembly (door, timer, motor, ...).
I think I figured out why Frigidaire doesn't have the information...this is actually a D&M dishwasher which came out between their last porcelain dishwashers (the ones with the pull-out grille at the back of the washtub...btw these were hidden gems--had one in an apartment that was great) and their new plastic design (made in the Kinston plant with the small circular lift-out filter next to the wash hub)
This is a plastic d/w, overhead spray, fixed tower in lower rack, lower wash arm raises to engage the fixed tower. It has "filtered wash" which means that directly under the lower wash arm is a round fine-mesh filter attached to a white plastic lower assembly, which fits into the sump. Drainage comes from the sump, water is distributed sucked in from the fine-mesh filter.
Annnyway, long story is that this is a better d/w than what the landlord would probably replace it with. I'm sure that Sears (among others) sold a zillion of them, and I just wondered if anyone had a suggestion to find a parts list so I can take it apart easily (or figure out to throw in the towel).
