Frigidaire (GE?) Jet Action 1-18 - timer not spinning

Hi all, as you can see I am new and need a little help with my washer. I have only assumed ownership of this 1-18 by chance but I am intrigued by the apparent holy aura around it and would love to do a load in this washer and see what it can do. It seems all of the different functions are working fine on it but the timer won't spin on it's own, and in turn won't slowly go around and cycle through a wash.

Is there any chance of finding a replacement timer?

You need a timer motor. They are somewhat easy to come by.

Or, you can have the timer rebuilt.

cool another st louis member... get yourself a rebuilt timer and you should be fine.. you will really like the 1-18 they do a great job and fun so fun to watch

Whoa, looks like I found the problem. I will probably need a little help with a solution, though. Take a look at this picture!



Looks like that is a timer...with what I presume is a spot for a motor to be mounted, but there was nothing there!

Yeah, I'd say someone purloined the timer motor....

Yep thats the deal with that one. These 1-18's were/are notourious for burning up timer motors.

well sent it to recco ro call midwest and just replace the timer assy.. unless maybe somone here has a timer to sell.. id go ahead and replace the whole timer assy then you wont have any worries
