SOMEBODY GRAB THIS GEM!!!!

item number 320287741913 is up for grabs on ebay and, other than needing a new filter tray,looks greay!! he JetCone Agiator shows no where and the washer looks like an Imperial model with two speeds,12 cycles and automatic 6 position Fabric selecter switch!!!The current asking price is $75!!!!It's in York, PA.PLEASE,someebody save this beauty!!!!

yeah right! They probably 'upgraded'. I don't think there are any bids yet on this one, but it is early and I haven't had coffee yet. Does look to be in GREAT cosmetic shape and seller was nice enough to provide a tub shot. Doesn't look abused, at least...
Wish I knew a way to get that baby down to SC without spending a mint.

It is in nice restorable shape

but I don't think it is a two speed machine. In fact the only two speed 1-18 I have seen yet is from '74 which is about 2 years later than this model.

I know for a fact that it is a two speed model!The different "programs"on the 6 position "Fabrics selector"are nothing but preset agitate and spin speeds along with wash and rinse temperatures.The only single speed FRIGIDAIRE 1-18's I remember are the two lower priced 16 pound capacity models.If my memory isn't failing me,the other dials are for optional extras like an extra rinse,cold rinse and soak and wash,the water level selector and the timer.The wood trim dates it from 1970 to 1975.My guess is that it's a 1973 model because,untill 1974,there were two Imperial models.One had a 6 position Fabrics selector the other had an 8 position Fabrics Selector and a lighted backsplash.It was followed by only one step up which was a Custom imperial 3 agitate 2 spin speed and was available with a see thru glass lid.later on,around 1975-1876,They introduced the "Elite set washer and dryer with electronic,controls.The washer had a feature I had never seen before where when the water was at the lower setting like mini,it would not agitate the full throttle but at delecate.Once the water was arond medium-low,the agitator throttled up to the selected speed.This eliminated the vigorus splashing of water up and over the drum and probably helped keep cabinet rust to a minimum.

It does say "Two Speed" on the panel

left dial is for wash/rince temp. Next dial is for wash/spin speed (2 choices fast/slow) water level then timer. Panel cycle design is a bit different than mine, but I have the 1977 harvest gold with the window.

sorry the view I had looked like it was an Imperial"A"model but it must be a Custom Deluxe.Either way it is no doubt a 2 speed model.

I just trashed the exact matching dryer yesterday.

Looks the same as my model that I just replaced the timer on.
It's 2 speed with infinite water level control.
Mine is a Coustum Deluxe model from '73
Great machine--- I use it for at least one load a week
Someone grab it if they can
And the lint filter trays are still available at some parts stores.
