I bet that wouldn't be too dificult to do. Get a round piece of safety glass, some rubber gasket, a jig saw with metal blade, and carefully cut a hole, centered, in the lid. It doesn't need to be water tight, or even air tight.
In fact, a top loading washer lid window, for any brand, has got to be one of the easiest thing to install.
