If anyone gets this range, make sure that you replace the fluorescent light over the cooktop before installing it in place. Unlike the GE Americana, where the light cover unlocks and swings down, this tube has to be accessed and replaced from the rear.

I replaced the fluorescent in my 1966 Twin 30 and I removed the glass to replace it. I have to admit that I don't remember exactly how I did (I removed many other parts at the same time to clean them) but it wasn't that complicated. What was complicated was finding another of these 28" fluorescent tubes. They are getting expensive and places like hardware stores don't even bother ordering them.
I removed the glass a few times and I'm pretty sure that just these 3 screws at the top needed to be removed to replace it. The starter is located at the back of the range so if you need to replace it, you'll need to pull it out!

[this post was last edited: 10/23/2016-15:49]Well, Frigidaire Factory Service replaced the bulb in the one in a friend's mother's kitchen by going in through the back. Maybe the service man was a Greek top. Maybe it was the bulb and the starter. At any rate, the owner thought it was a stupid design.

It should be white, it's too early to be almond", as it's self cleaning and it has the larger knob for the lock lever, it's a "P" model (RCDE-637VP) from late 1968 to 1970. It should have a standard vent hood above the upper oven but I guess it was probably removed because of a space issue.
I see that models like this one (1969-70) had their fluorescent starter relocated next to the light bulb, so also accessible from the front as it can be seen in this link and in the picture below.
it looks like this person had a great idea to fix the fluorescent without going with the hassle and expense of ordering and buying a 28" tube like I did (for both my 1966 Twin 30 and my 1960 Custom Imperial french door range). He just relocated the fluorsecent mounting on the left to fit a smaller tube...
