The recipe

sounds pretty good, though.

As for the graphic graphic, I think chickens will eat almost anything.

More disturbing images

Mmmmmm. I could go for a bowl of that soup right now! Wonder if they made cream of...oh, never mind.

Here's a lovely little piggy. Not only is he fryin' up some pork rinds, he's eating them as well. And salivating. ICK.

One more

What are these places thinking? Do they have no idea how disturbing it is to see a bull serving a steak? "Hey, have a slab of Uncle Chet--he's delicious!"

You're twisted, veg

and I like that in you.

Now, if you could only find a carrot munching on some celery.

Love and laughter!

strange places to eat....

I may get some flack for this, but it's still the truth and an honest post. I didn't make this up.

We had ( may still have ) a " Joint " fairly nearby called the: Stop and Blow !!

Further comment witheld - - Have always wondered though....

I think nowadays, at least here in England, you'd get sued for being "politically incorrect"!!!

I always laugh though in the hairdressers where sometimes by mistake they'll charge you for a cut'n'blow job :-).

That Heinz picture of the person sized chicken-A storyboard print from the movie "Food From The Gods" depicted human sized chickens, banana sized worms-dog sized rats and mice!!Yes they all fed on humans!Still looking for this on DVD or laserdisc-saw it at a theater sometime in the 70's.

Quote from Maytagbear: "That looks more like Uncle Stu"

Ouch!

Actually, I think it might be Uncle Chuck.

Double ouch!

Thank you. I'll be performing twice a night through the end of the month. Be sure to try the prime rib.

Finally! I thought I was the only person who ever noticed the implicit cannibalism in the food industries' uses of animal imagery!

Someone ought to call up Dobson at Focus on the Family and get him interested in this. After all, promoting cannibalism through the use of animal images, has got to be a bigger moral emergency than the question of whether Sponge Bob is gay. Or if not, then maybe Dobson's got a bigger problem than simply not taking his meds when he sits down to watch cartoons.

And while we're at it, "dog-eat-dog world." A linguistic euphemism for "person-eat-person world," i.e. the implicit cannibalism of the worldview of those who believe that "man's" cruelty to "man" is the normal order of things.

Nice thought, designgeek--

but Dobson and his ilk are only interested in their own ideas.

To me, that is the critical difference-- can a person consider someone else's view?

The most obvious one

Charlie the Tuna. We all love him, and we all feel sorry for him; nobody likes rejection.

On the other hand, WHY do we feel sorry for Charlie? Isn't it a little odd that this charming tuna wants nothing more than to be gutted, cooked, and canned? Man, that's just twisted.

I always though that if I were an animator, I'd make a cartoon of the day Star Kist accepted Charlie--flopping around on the deck of a ship, gasping for air until some fisherman comes over and slits him from stem to stern...

Gross, yeah, but maybe it would make Star Kist rethink their campaign.

veg, who loves animals. Especially the tasty ones.

and a new one

Has anyone seen the new Dairy Queen commercial? Mr. Shrimp offers Mrs. Shrimp some popcorn. She takes a bite and realizes it isn't popcorn, but popcorn shrimp. He says "I thought it tasted familiar". She realizes at this point that the "children" are missing.
