FS: LHA7800 and LHI7801

These came with my house and I am replacing them with modern units. Yes, yes, I know, I should keep them but I wanted a front loading unit that is quieter.

As far as I can tell, they are in excellent condition. The only problem is the washer will leak a little bit of water during every load. This was never a problem for me because it was right next to a floor drain.

Front Loader - OH NO!

You'll be sorry if you get a front loader...no timer dial. An average load runs for 60 minutes...way too long. Stick with this set...you'll be glad you did!

The reality is that a decent modern FL will clean far better than the old Whirlpool TL, even if it doesn't last as long. I'd be inclined to keep the dryer in use, though! I'd probably hang onto them both and put a modern FL alongside them...

These were real work horses but unfortunately the washer leak is probably an outer tub leak.

 

A new Speed Queen Front Load washer would be the perfect replacement and would easily last as long as these Whirlpools have, I would also suggest keeping the WP dryer, with the money you will save not buying a new dryer you can afford the extra cost of a real SQ FL washer.

 

You will be amazed how well the old dryer works alongside a new washer that spins twice as fast as the old WP does.
