A Washington DC based law firm is looking for anyone in the USA who has seen, bought or used the following full-sized (not the portable models) Asian Brand Impeller Washers:

(1) has purchased a Daewoo, National, Goldstar, Hitachi, or Toshiba impeller washing machine (or any other Asian brand impeller washer) in the U.S. before 1999;

(2) saw a Daewoo, National, Goldstar, Hitachi, or Toshiba impeller washing machine (or any other Asian brand impeller washer) offered for sale in the U.S. before 1999; and

(3) saw a Daewoo, National, Goldstar, Hitachi, or Toshiba impeller washing machine (or any other Asian brand impeller washer) at a U.S. trade show before 1999.

If anyone has any info for them, please contact me and I will put you in contact with the Laywers.

Thanks.

Not sure, I didn't ask a bunch of questions they just need to find people who might have seen anything like this. I have never seen any full-size Aisan washers in the US before LG.

All kidding aside, I have never seen an Asian (or Asian-style) machine that we woud consider full-size.

[Except of course the New GE with the wash impeller on the bottom.]

I think what we consider compact is what is considered full-sized in Asia!

Someone ought to find out what's going on there.

I think what's up is someone is going to claim a patent infringement. For a device that existed back in the 1950s. Remember, Hoover UK invented the impeller for their compact washers. So if someone wants to try making an intellectual property claim, they're going to have to deal with the fact that Hoover had the "prior art" over a half century ago.

Bloody "intellectual property" fiends, if they had their way someone would copyright the alphabet and then charge us a royalty for each letter we type.
