Question:
In the living room we have two end tables and a cocktail table that have recently been refinished and have new glass tops.
The glass-man gave us these clear plastic discs about the size of quarters that you place between the table and the glass to prevent the glass from sliding around. It generally works.
The end-tables have glass lamps that are very heavy so the glass doesn't slide much.
The cocktail table is a challenge. We have cats.
The cats like to take flying leaps onto the cocktail table. I've found the top glass half-off on one occasion and somewhat disjointed on other occasions. The lamp table glasses have moved slightly due to cat activity but not much.
I've tried other types of anti-slip discs (ex: cork). We've placed books and other heavy objects on the cocktail table which helps too.
But do any of you run into this and fixed it? Removal of cats from household would not be an acceptable solution!
All ideas welcome!
