I have this G.e. which I HATE it don't seem to clean at all.I have had them come out and out and they tell me things that I already know detergents this and that.I have tried them all to no avail.The Problem is the Fact there is not enough water in it.When it washes I see NO water at all in it yes it fills and the clothes are wet but when there washer stops and goes the other way there is No dripping or pouring from the baffles like I was told.The longest setting is 3 hours and it still can't clean.It needs more water at least enough to come up to the seal.I wish it would fill half way up but the D.O.E. has gotten there hands on everything and seem to ruin it for guys like us that like to see some great wash actions.I saw a post on here about adjusting the water level on his by turning the screw on the sensor.I was wondering if this applies to G.e. also?Does F/D make these G.e. also it seems they all are very much alike to much for that matter.I bought this washer in January and I am at my wits end with this machine.I know it will void my insurance on but I don't care at this point.Any Advice????

Get rid of the GE Adora and get either a Whirlpool Duet or a Frigidaire Affinity or Gallery Model Washer...

I own a Samsung new FL which is the same thing as the Maytags. I´ve had the same problem, but 1 day I opened it from the top and found almost behind the control panel, the water level thing which has a plastic screw sticked with some kind of glue. I removed this "seal" and turned half a turn clock wise and tryed the washer to see its level, and kept doing this until I got the level I desire. I stopped turning it until the water reached the seal
Now you can see a little water, but because of the drum´s size, it seems like it´s not having enough water still, but believe me, it´s enough water to get excelent results.
BTW. Hi SactoTeddyBear, it´s been a long time, since last time I heard from you. I sent you some emails but you never answered, so maybe you didn´t get them.

One of the worst things about "repair" people is they often don't know - or care - about your particular product.
Instead of losing your waranty - and you may need it - why not give GE headquarters a call, explain the problem - the fact that the baffles have no water to "shower" the clothes with is very clear - and ask that they find you a servicer who actually know what he or she is doing.
Sure, most water pressure sensors can be adjusted - but they can be very sensitive and if your go too far, you can end up with an unpredictable sensor which lets the machine flood.
As for the advice to just give up and get another machine, well - "Adora" means you got it from Home Depot. I know the in-duh-vi-duh-als working the floor don't usually give a flying, well, don't care, but if you call the management and tell them what is wrong and why you want this machine - still under warranty - exchanged for one that works, I bet they will help you.
I've had two problems in the last year with Home Depot products which the floor wouldn't help me with; both times a pleasant and polite request for help from the manager got the problem resolved.
Remember - Home Depot stopped paying their sales people commissions, so they no longer have any incentive to work with the customer.

I don't know about GE Adoras, but on my Frigidaire under the top of the machine (held in place but a couple of screws in back) is a round thing called a pressure switch, with a screw in the middle of it. I used a Phillips screwdriver and turned that screw clockwise several times, and now the water fills 1/3 up the window. My cleaning results have been much better since.
