Gas prices still under $3 in Mid-MO

I'm guessing y'all out there gas has risen past the $3 mark. I called my mom last night and it's $3.18 in St. Louis. And here in CoMO, at last count was $2.85, and $2.95 at the Midway exit. Anyone need some fresh petrol from our friends at MFA Oil while it's still cheap?

Cost of a fillup with 3 gallons left in the tank: $55

$3.18 per gal is 84 cents a litre.. we're paying anywhere from 98 cents to 1.06 Cdn a litre now.. that would be about 90 cents US. What bugs me the most is they jack the prices up overnight, sometimes substantially with lord knows what for an excuse, but they never drop them overnight instead they let them fall gradually if at all over a period of days or weeks. All the while they're making phenomenal unheard of quarterly profits.

When I filled up Thursday, Regular was $2.85. I don't know about anyone else, but it would not surprise me if gas hit $4/gal. by the summer.

On the news here they're saying it'll hit $4/gal for regular by the end of June. Today I saw $3.06 when just yesterday it was $2.96. Maybe people will stop buying Hummers around here. Probably not, it's very important to have a giant gas guzzling monster to drive around the suburbs.

Sigh....it's about $3.50 here for regular unleaded. For me, it's the principle more than the price. It doesn't seem to stop a lot of people for whatever reason, but for me the higher it is and the longer it stays, the more the car will sit, simple as that. No skin off my nose, the oil companies will save me money if they want to play their games.

I bitched when it was $1.50. Never imagined I'd see $2 in my lifetime much less 3 or 4. 7 years ago we were paying $1 or less and there wasn't all this fluctuation. Don't understand it, never will, tired of trying to figure it out.

Corporate greed...

Gas prices personally don't affect my wallet because thankfully my company reimburses me for my gas..What angers me is how will this affect the middle class or people who are on tight budgets? Did anyone watch the "debates" ( hah)! recently on MSNBC, between Democratic and Republican candidates for President? Not ONE of them discussed the soaring energy prices or how it affects the average middle income American! I was hopeful once the Democrats took control of Congress, something would be done about this..
Quite Frankly, I am disgusted with the whole political process.....

I'm glad we no longer own a car!

Gas just shot up another dime this week to 3.65 here.

Dennis and I squeal with glee as we ride past on the FREE Maui Bus-and were losing weight too from all the walking we are now doing.

Fatter wallet-thinner waistline! Being car free is awesome!

We just bought a Prius, so gas is not as pressing of an issue as it was with the old car (a non-hybrid Highlander)

Of course, the Volvo still drinks gas like there's no tomorrow, but I'm just gonna use that for thrifting from now on.

$279 a gallon in myrtle beach, around $2.85ish in raleigh.. I drive a 35 mpg corolla.. Soon i will have my grams red explorer as well but that will be my play toy.. We drove my corolla

it went up to 2.95 as of yesterday, and now fueleconomy.gov now lets you see your MPGs as of the new 2008 standards, I now have 15/24 MPG on my F-wood
