Gasket help—repair, restore, revive Kenmore portable

Do y’all have suggestions for this gasket? Is there something that I can use to fill the cracks, seal, preserve it?

Sarah, my first thought would be perhaps automotive window seals may work.  They would look decent as well.  

If all else fails, closed-cell foam weatherstripping will do the job but won't look as good.
