Gays are "abnormal" and "delusional"

What do you say to somebody like this?

My qualm is that gays do not accept that they are statistically abnormal compared to the human race... all the gays on this forum that have said something in contrast to my argument are completely delusional and dismissive of statistical data... but that is not even the real problem, the real problem is that when gays hear these types of things it angers them and causes them to fight to no end for something they desire... NORMALITY. Face it, even though every damn person would rather say they choose their individualism over fitting in, deep down everyone desires some sort of common ground with their fellow human beings... This will never be achieved for the homosexual only by clustering with their like kind, which by the way makes them even more of a spectacle... they are minorities and WILL ALWAYS BE MINORITIES. There will always be humans born with a distaste for those who are different, just as gays are born with an attraction to their own sex. You can't change the inherent mentality of all human beings....

Who ever wrote that is an idiot. Everyone had characteristics that could be considered abnormal, or something they don't like about themselves that they would love to change to be "normal".

Abnormal = bad. Someone has a superiority complex.

Someone could be doing Geico commercials without neanderthal prosthetics and makeup...

Well its sounds to me that someone doesnt like much or themselves. And I will say this that those are the ones that scream that loudest often are. And you can find those same people trolling for trouser trout at a rest area or they have their face buried in a pillow or at an airport restroom claiming that"they have a wide stance".

Last time I checked, I was perfectly normal. And I have to ask this. What's normal about "straight" men who like the same sort of sex that I do (and every last one of them wants to bottom)? What's normal about "straight" men who want their female counterparts to "flip over" for them instead of copulating using the "normal" female receptacle? The so-called "abnormal" behavior happens in the straight world way more often than that writer knows. His ignorance is astounding and it's downright frightening that he has a lot of company out there on the religious right.

My two cents

The only true Christian people I myself know that are aware of my sexuality do not try at all to judge me.They see I love the Lord and all He's done for me since I was born and will continue to do for me till I die.Neither He nor they are judgemental,curious,damning or critical to me.We worship and pray together knowing that our sins are forgiven.Not that that means it's o.k. to continue living in the "flesh" but that if one was to give in to their own desires that are not of the "Spirit" they need to confess and move on.All of us have our own weaknesses and inabilities but nobody is perfect and nobody has the right to judge anyone.Instead,we should always see the good in each other and complement ourselves.Not many people do that.Those who do though ,stand out and are absolutely noticed.
My friend,Mike Duffy from Florida is one of those who sees the good in everybody he meets.I worked with him 5 years and our friendship is one more like that of a close set of brothers or sisters.We can talk together about so many private issues and never have any fear of the information going any further.He knew of my sexuality and never once said anything derogatory or sarcastic to me about it.He is genuine and the only person I have ever known whom I have neither seen nor witnessed angry or hateful.He's married(15 years now) but has no children.His wife,Karen, is nice too.She usually keeps to herself though.

Unfortunately, when I run across people like that I just have to chuckle and walk away and remember about trying to teach a pig to fly...

What point is this person trying to make? How many gay people does he know who even desire to become heterosexual, let alone "fight for" it? Does he believe sexual orientation in human beings is a choice? If so, he's not alone. The entire position of the Catholic Church, and most other religions, against homosexuality is based on this thoroughly disproven idea.

Does he know homosexuality is a natural occurrence which is observed in hundreds of animal species? You can call it abnormal, but it's certainly not unnatural. Every study ever done on this subject has shown that the "ick" response to homosexuality among many heterosexuals is a learned behavior, not something they will do unless they're taught to do it.

What I would say to him is asking what is he doing in a Gay Bar in a Leather riding crop.I Live in the DEEP South and one thing I have learned is the Most HOMOPHOBIC men come on to me once they get to know me.I have Str8 guys hit on me ALL THE TIME .They say thoese things to prop up there Masculinity because the first thing that comes to mind is some real Sissy Man they stand out big time and hit on every guy around.(No Offence guys)I am Not Attracted to Fem guys but Im as Gay as they come.I Love Football,Muddin,Cars,I grew up on a Farm and country folks do it differntly.I date guys that like the same thing and there are a ton more gay men that dont act it than the others they don't think about that.I have my Fem guy friends but they are just friends not the other.I have been Flamed so many times by saying I like Guys so why date a guy that acts like a girl its redundent but Im just telling the truth and say what is on mind.I have been burned at the stake by the religious nuts but I know the Bible and I can crush there argument they bring up the Old Testament all the time but they seem to forget that its a sin to not have a burnt offering and to pick up a stick on Fridays also that mixed thread top is one to.I could go on and on if they want to get legalistic but it shuts them up FAST.The Old Testament says it its Old the New Testament dont really say much about gay's if any and the Old Law died on the Cross hence the New Testament.I just love a Chirstian's Divorcees there every where pointing out the gays as the ruin of the world but that is on that list also unless there was Adultry involved.God said Judge ye Not that ye be judged.Jesus was friends with Whores and the trash of of the world and loved everybody.It seems though that the Chirstian's HATE everybody that is differnt.I dont care what they do behind doors unless it involves kids in that case throw them in the bath tub I will bring a toaster.I had a VERY Hard time being Gay and rasied in a Very Religious back ground but my Family is wonderful and Im very lucky.Why would somebody want to be gay just to get hated and in some cases killed so it was never a choice for me.I knew I was differnt for some reason and that is not such a bad thing I don't think.I just wish there was less hate in the world but fear leads to hate and hate changes the world.

Alcohol does wonders to these people. I have seen guys i know claim to be exclusively straight but get some alcohol in them then the inhibition seems to fall away. I always say everyone is a 6 pack away from being gay.

If this were Ancient Greece before Christianity and everyone were EXPECTED to diddle both with those with a pole and those with a hole, I'll show YOU how many would have ZERO issue doing so.

It was considered GOOD for society because the young student/apprentice (Read: bottom) wanted nothing more than to please his older mentor/teacher/master (read: top.) In this way all of the higher arts, sciences and learning passed on from generation to generation.

Once a young man got his beard he then became the teacher.

And in case this appals anyone, you can't really top well unless you've bottomed. Think about that one for a bit.

At least that's the way I remember it. As for who said it, don't remember. I seem to remember hearing it on a TV show at some point. Or was it part of a bumper sticker?

What's in a number?

The basic premise of his argument is statistics, and that gays are outnumbered statistically, therfore,not normal.

Using that same argument, Blacks, Jews, Hispanics, are all abnormal and slavery could be justifed statistically.

Trying to put a numeric value to love and emotion and personal freedom is like trying to nail down a peice of jello to the road during rush hour. Stupid!
