Help Support :

Washer and Dryer Combo - $249 (Taylors, SC)

" Well built, heavy duty washer and dryer set for $249. I am willing to deliver to the surrounding Greenville/ Pickens area for $50. This set runs perfectly and has been well maintained. Included in the purchase are the hoses and wires. No need to worry about having to replace an expensive computer board, the set has manual controls and is Y2K safe. The dryer dries clothes super fast and the washer gets the squeaky clean.

Brand:
General Electric (Made in the USA)

I will only respond to emails with phone numbers.

Range in Reply #35:

Wow, has that seller got a few misconceptions!

The range is mid-1970s; the clues are the stainless trim on the outer edges of the cooktop, and the control knobs, which have stamped skirts, not the die-cast ones of earlier models.

The range is mid-MOL; it has P*7, a lighted cooktop and the desirable two-large/two-small burner configuration, but it does not have Sensi-Temp. The "yellow-green" color mentioned in the ad is Harvest.

$250 is a very high asking price for a fairly ordinary '70s GE in a hard-to-shift color.

GE in Reply #44:

That is to die for! Exactly the 40-incher I'd want, if I had room for one.

Don't get me wrong, a good 30-inch range is a great thing to have, but for those of us who grew up with the Big Kahuna, there's nothing like having all that cooktop real estate, plus two ovens.

This one looks to be complete and cared for.

Sigh!

Sorry, Phil:

But that 40-incher in Reply #55 is Harvest, not Yellow.

The easy way to tell Harvest from Yellow is to look at the edges of the oven door and the front of the storage drawer. On Harvest, these edges will be "shaded," meaning that an area at the edge will be sprayed with a slightly darker color than the middle of the panel.

On Yellow, no shading was done; it was a solid color.

thanks

Sandy - I appreciate the help. I kind of sort of in a way thought it was Harvest at first, but didn't catch the detail you mentioned. And I can't change the text until I upgrade as a member, so until then ( and I'll be doing that later next month), your correction works.

Onward! :-)
