My Grandmother had that dishwasher in a portable in white.
Two level wash, reversible pump. The front door had the GE name stamped into the metal with the emblem in the center.
One dial, Pre Wash, Rinse, Wash, Rinse, Rinse, Dry. No Power Shower. Just the Arm and Tower.
Did a decent job, occasional yibbles but beat washing family dinners by hand.
That machine is probably the only one left. Haven't thought about that model for years.

Where is the upper rack? I wonder if when they removed it, they replaced the bolts that held the rack rails before running it so that it did not leak water through the holes. Maybe they used it for washing tall trays. As a dishwasher, it beat nothing.

This is the DW that is credited with getting millions of Americans to own and use DWs.
This is the first design of GE DWs with the incredibly cheap shaded pole non-reversing main motor that put out more heat than water power.
GE sold these to new home builders for less that $100, we have heard prices as low as $59, so it cost the builder little more than another kitchen cabinet. Once home owners got used to the convenance of a built-in DW they started to get hooked on the convenience and portable DWs sales started to fall.
GE is also credited with creating demand for BI DWs as these machines only lasted 5-15 years so most people upgraded to KA, MT, WP, but many bought another GE or KM etc.
Today a BI DW id the most frequently replaced major appliance except possibly for ill-advised over the range MWOs. All this thanks to GE cheap DWs that rusted out in short order.

Ahhh...
Just enlarged the pic and saw the ClownShoe Wash Arm.
My Gram did have the exact design and front door only it was the previous model that did NOT have the Shade Pole motor.
It paused between wash and drain and had the earlier spray designed wash arm with the wider jets on the end of the Lower Arm.
Her's had the Upper Rack too. : )
