( I was 20 y.o. two years ago,,,,in my own head!)
Love the porcelain drums on those....
Not sure if that era has it, but GE's have a safety switch such that the machine stops should the belt break!

This GE baby is identical to my second dryer (see Laundress' other thread for my first). Bought this one in the spring of 1985. Great dryer.
