Ge dryer

I have a 1984 I believe ge dryer and the drum light Socket WE4X185 needs replaced. I can’t find one anywhere and I’ve been checking eBay regularly but no luck so I’d thought I’d ask you guys if anyone had one they were willing to sell or know where I might find one? Thanks -Doug

Look on the socket, and see if there is a manufacturers name, such as Leviton, Pass & Seymour, etc. It's possible the part is a standard electrical item that can be obtained through an electric supplies distributor. There may be a special bracket that you may have to transfer from the old to new part. A picture would be helpful. If it is a standard item, it will be much less expensive than one would be sourced through GE parts. They charge horrendous amounts for standard hardware items such as screws, nuts, and clips.
