These were not a GE accessory. I ordered mine from a catalog (Spiegel?). After a short while I realized I could no longer lift my cooktop to clean under the burners because of the way it stood on the cooktop. I also did get greasy underneath as shown in the photo.
I took it apart and returned it within a couple weeks.

I got mine at the appliance store where I bought my 1988 Magic Chef range, for my huge Litton Meal-in-One. I think it was about $80. Twice per year, I moved it off to clean well, also under the cook top. That was not my favorite stove. 4 small low btu burners. The oven was fine, and electronic gas self clean. I gave it all away after it was here in the basement for a few years. This kitchen had and has new built ins.
