$475 is a complete and utter ripoff.  They are only worth the transmission in them:  about $100 -- *IF* the transmission isn't rode hard and the seals are still good.

Yes you might make money with this is you are not the one paying for the water or the heating of the water. Newly rebuilt GE transmissions are still only about $70 and I would assume that at this price that the 2SP clutch still works unless it was just taken out and replaced with a 1 SP one, but that is a good question to ask the seller if anyone would even consider throwing away this much money on a GE FF.
 
When I was younger, I stay with some friends during the day while mom and dad worked, and they had a coin-op GE FF in Harvest Gold.  The front of the coin box was removed, and they would use the same quarter over and over.  This was in the early to mid 70's.  There were 6 people in the family, so it was used almost daily.  I think it lasted until the late 80's or early 90's I remember walking by their house and seeing in the trash.
