GE Filter Flo Top Hole Pictures?

Filter Flo washers are my all time favorite washing machines. As a child having Autism, I was always fascinated with the 6 holes right at the top of the tub, that the plastic rim fits into.

I no longer have a Filter Flo washer, but I am wondering if I could get some closeup photos of these holes from you guys that still own a Filter Flo? I have attached a couple of photos of the holes that I am talking about, and have pointed them out with an arrow and a blue circle.

Well, then, what is the significance of those holes up there? What do they do?

Well, I always believed that these holes held this plastic ring into place, but maybe they served a purpose other than this? Anybody have any closeup shots of these holes on your Filter Flo?

Here is a 1990 model WWA5800GBLWH project in the works. It is now mechanically sound but needs some cosmetic work. I have a much nicer one but this one still had the top up so it made for easy picture taking. This was a garbage find that looked like it had sat in a dirty garage unused for quite some time. It had with it all of the hoses, the filter pan, the mini basket, and a Downey ball. It’s been a while since I’ve tinkered with it but I believe all I did was seal holes in the outer tub. It’s a standard capacity single speed model that doesn’t wash a lot at one time but nothing is coming out dirty.
