GE "Filter Flow" Washer In MI

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

THAT WAS MY WASHER!!!! (except a different cool down sequence).  This one has what was the standard GE PP cool-down sequence.  An extended spin-spray after the pressure switch reset and continued to spray until rinse.  Mine was a short-lived Whirlpool-style cooldown.  Partial drain spin with a short spray then stop.  Fill with cold wawter, agitate for 8 minutes, complete spin drain, then stop for rinse.  I bought mine April 1978.  A friend of mine from work at the time, when her family moved into a house, she got the same model washer & dryer as mine because of my knowlege of appliances.  Theirs was purchased sometime late 1979/1980, but I didn't see it until I went to visit them in Dallas in like 1983 or 1984.  And the difference in the PP cycle was an almost immediate notice by me due to the difference of the cycle appearance on the dial.

It just occurred to me, it was 30 years ago this weekend or the previous weekend (Saturday) in April I bought this washer & dryer a Foley's Sharpstown in Houston.
