Cool

I kinda like the newer harmony machines. I know that originally they came from LG, but I believe these are being built by GE directly. Funny there hasn't been any complaints about the harmony machines exploding during spin.

Maybe the holes along the ribs of the impeller/wash plate create a bit of a surge of water that helps push items in the load upward to aid reverse rollover.

I've come to enjoy watching the center of the load "bloom" during agitation in the Immersion Care. And like a flower, it blooms very slowly, LOL.

Great photo of you and the new GE's, Darren!

not even body temp?!

I couldn't help noticing that the hottest wash (96.2 F) is not even as hot as the normal temperature for the human body. What are the "engineers" that design these stupid things thinking?

What if you have a kid come home with lice? How would you wash their clothing in water hot enough to kill them? There should be some sort of override.

The ability for at least some front loaders to achieve "sanitary" temps of 152F+ degrees is one benefit of front loaders over these new TL washers.

Stumped.

I have no clue on how and why the towels cycle uses less than the normal cycle. Maybe it uses a spray rinse(s)? I have doubts about the reviewed web page as some of their info seems to be a bit...untrue.

Yeah, they don't say which temp they used, though I assume the one that's preset with each cycle. I sure hope it's Warm in the case of this GE because a hot Whites cycle at only 92F...?

Wow, it tops out at 96 degrees? I guess the Immersion Care is not alone in the "cool is the new hot" division.

I've said it a hundred times: Don't buy a washer without an internal water heater!*

*I broke this rule with the recent purchase of a Frigidaire Immersion Care top-loader. In my defense, I had no idea the hot water was dumbed-down to 'cool'. And I have a front-loader with a heater, so I'm covered.

If the Delicates cycle was 81.4F, and it used less than a quart of hot water, that tells me that the cold water intake must have been very warm. I wonder what the wash temperatures would be if the cold intake was 36F, which is how cold my water can get in winter.

as with any ATC set temp....it would add more HOT or Cold to achieve the set temp....

sometimes its a benefit, when requesting HOT/WARM water...it will purge the line until the HOT water gets there......I always purge my lines at the sink before starting the machines...

then again none of my machines dub down that far....except the Cabrio, but a HOT wash will only drop down 10 degrees from the water heater setting...so far, I can't complain....

on the Cabrio, while you can't turn off the ATC, certain cycles(heavy duty, whitest whites), as well as turning off "energy save" and "eco boost" will give warm to hotter washes...than something like Casual or Delicate/Handwash...but you also would see changes in wash times and wash pattern....

try to override where you can, but sometimes it doesn't always work...

My Harmony is getting old and not one problem and I always have it run the highest spin and longest also and no problems

at all.I think my washer is at least 8 years old and made by L.G...

Thanks guys.
I have been in Margate AC with my partner for awhile and no PC lol.
And not much fun on a phone but I going to attemp this.
Seems like All machines today uses
COLD TO COOL WASH TEMPS.
I was talking to a lady in Shop Rite yesterday she had Tide coldwater
I ask her if she liked it she said yes
Very much.
Well she also said she has light soiled
Clothes.
Since this is trending again I'm up for the challenge
In moderation but will still use warm and hot temps.
But I'm afraid guys its here to stay.
I wished I had more time with Martins Cabrio machine
To use low water cool washes with whites.
I'm not sure if he has or not with Tide coldwater.
Anyway had more pics of Machine shopping.
I wonder if John Lefever looked at the new GE washers
And his take on them.
I found my old box of coldpower that I thought
I lost.
Eugine I thank your right on the washplate
The holes could aid in rollover.
And thanks on the picture Mr.
Its About COLD!

My next door neighbor has a new GE with one of those stupid impellers and using nothing for water. She put a bed spread in and it was not wet in places and her old Whirpool washed it fine. She says she has to do twice the loads now and sometims they still have to be run thru again. So much for energy efficiency. They didnt listen to me when I told them to buy a Speed Queen.

Alexander you never cease to amaze me !
Wayupnorth..mayby the new models with the larger lmpeller
Could be and improvement.
I just hope for a better all American company to get
Back a little to its roots.
I guess will see.

Saw in a another thread on a top of the line GE.
I would like that model because of the internel water heater.
I'm sort of still baffled on steam cycles ..
What and how it works..especially a top loader.
And why special cycles for tomato , grass, ext..
I mean one artical with the stain and the rest not..
I don't think anyone uses Stain Treat cycles ..like
Neptunes Stain Brain..and others.
Would like to see it work someday GE new line.
Controls.
