These are heavy, but easy to move, I would guess it is in the 300-400 pound range, a shipper like Jackie could move one of these easily as long as the truck has a lift-gate or ramp or you have 3 or 4 guys to lift on and off a PU truck.

Jason and I loaded my first one that I got in LI, NY in the back of my 94 T&C mini-van, we did unbolt the wheel assemblies so it would fit. Jon C. brought the other one down from Cape Cod on his Ford PU truck.

It is nice that it has the orignal cover, my 2nd one has the cover and umbrella the first one had neither one. You can use almost any outdoor patio umbrella with the PC. Good luck hope someone in the club gets this one, it is really a high quality well built appliance.

Another saved GE patio cart

Yay Paula I hope you enjoy this. This is a very useful item if you have the space for it and works great I sold my second one to Eugene in Cleveland, Ohio and the other one is in the neighbors garage where we can use it at his lovely mid 50s home

I’ve never figured out how many years they made these or how much they cost originally if anybody knows please post.

I believe both of the ones I have had were made in 1960.

Old thread but...Congratulations!

I was scanning old posts and my eyes bugged out to read that you(pcasa)were incredibly gifted to find this vintage GE Patio Cart. I have never found one nor would ever believe you could actually find one in this condition. I guess I could still hope to find one in a pre-owned condition. But these are so rare to find. Congratulations,Paula. How nice!

John..this page claims they cost $800 new...but you and others might enjoy this page:https://retrorenovation.com/2014/06/03/ge-partio-cart-photo-1960/
