Hello everybody. I was wondering when GE washers came out with the push to start button and cycle light features. I was under the impression that it was 2000. What else can you tell me about these models? I am also interested in how powerful the post filter-flo washer turbo pumps are. Thank you.

post-'95 GE pumps

the earlier "plastic"GEs used an Italian made"vortex"type centrifugal pump designed with large internal clearances in order to pass debris in the drainwater without jamming-a shaded pole,fan-cooled,"fartfan"type motor turns this pump at around 3000 RPM.Later versions use a permanent magnet, sealess, wet rotor,"magnetic" pump that runs at 3600 RPM-my hydrowave has this style and I can report it is fairly loud but pumps out fast :)
