i got a great GE range back in September and have actualy fallen in love with it! I now have a stockpot with beef cubes, garlic, red onions and bay leaves simmering. An hour from now,I'll add some fresh cut potatos, carrots, yellow corn, peas, green beans, and stewed tomatos.I'll let it simmer another hour. Then add 1/8C of alphabet noodles.I turn off the burner and let it set for 30 minutes.NO SCORCHING OR SCULDING!!!!I had only one orther range I could do that on and it was one that John LeFever gave me back in 1986 when I lived in B'More. It had the Sensi-Temp burner on the front right side of the cooktop.I have now owned 4 different ceramic top ranges and prefer the GE over any other brand. The oven is also great! No pre heating for convection and dual speed settings. One for roasting the other for baking. It also has the bridge,a dual size large 10 or 8 inch burner and a warming drawer.I found it at Sears,The Great Indoors, marked down to $399!It originaly retaled for $1399!!!I am not sorry I bought it.
