GE Range and Dishwasher(1964-5 ?) in Rhode Island.

The range does look beautifully cared for although the cooktop loses space with the arrangement of the buttons, which are in the splatter zone and, if you ever get cats, they can burn down your house stepping on them.
I'd have wanted to buy it back then, but...
Interesting DW. I'd guess it's from 1968 (one year before the clown-shoe spray arm)and an oddball model. Very attractive panel(using the same graphic they used on TOL stove/oven products) and front; pity it's a lame performer and the racks, given what came before and what would come 15 years later, are a very nice blue but pathetic. I'm tempted but I'll pass.
And I agree with Tom about the stove. When they put the burner controls up on the backsplash, where they belong, and changed them from buttons to knobs, it became a beautiful stove that was also an excellent performer. Very hard to find one.

Nice GE Range
The buttons on the sides of the CT had several advantages, one they were more intuitive to use, two you did not have to reach over hot pans to use them and three, the five heat system was extremely easy and predictable.
No one should store flammable items on or near a CT or inside an oven, you should be able to turn a burner on HIGH and leave the house without any worry if the stove is properly installed.
I would love to find one of these cool GE ranges in the Versatronic versions, I have never seen the single oven Versatronic version of this range.

My Mother had that stove! What is it 1965? We've moved south from Seattle to Tacoma, leaving behind Thermador built-ins. This is the stove bought for the Tacoma house and my first taste of pushbutton cooking. Love it still today! Our stove followed us to Cocoa Beach FL. where we left it 16 months later. We moved back to Tacoma with 1962 GE built-ins. Dinner Dial oven, cooktop with hood mounted controls, matching fridge and pullout "PowerShower" dishwasher. All in coppertone! Folks had everything re-enameled in Almond at some point. All with the exception of the refer where still there in 1995 when we sold the house. Even the Sensi-temp stilled worked! One of these days I'll get to have "push-button" cooking again! G
