Hi All:

I'm looking for brochure pages from GE appliance catalogs showing their range and oven lines - a couple of recent threads have brought up questions I've had trouble answering with the limited info I've had on hand. Automatic Ephemera has the 1964 and 1971 catalogs, and the '72 catalog was posted to a thread by bajaespuma, but I'm at a loss for other years. Here's what I'm looking for:

1965 through 1970, and 1973 through 1977. Scans, or offers to sell original catalogs are equally welcome! Only the range and oven pages are really needed, but I would like to have the range/oven specification pages as well as the photo pages.

I am particularly interested in the 1966 catalog.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone could give!

Sandy...

I can try to scan the '68-ish Contractor promo piece that I have entitled:
"General Electric Kitchen and Electric Living Concepts".

It isn't comprehensive but shows: JM79 range, J797 range, JK29 wall oven, JK22 wall oven, JP87 cooktop-grill, JP76 cooktop, JV33 hood, JV64 hood, JV61 hood, SS200D d/w, SD300 d/w, SD400D d/w, TFF24A fridge, TBF fridge, several disposalls, Zoneline a/c, M914DPN tv. All are shown in mocked-up room settings, but generally not in close-up detail.

And if I may presume to piggy-back on Sandy's request, I'd be most interested in a scan or copy of any Brochures, Owners or Service manuals for 1968, or close year, GE JK-29 Double Wall Oven!

I believe I have (working from memory at this point) 1965, 1966, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1973, 1975, and 1976 Sweets inserts. Reason I say from memory is, they are still packed away from the move. I won't be unpacking all that paper until I find a suitable place to keep it.

Once unpacked I could take to a UPS Store and have the appropriate pages scanned into pdf and send to you if this is what you're interested in.

I'd Be Grateful....

....For any and all ephemera concerning these years, thanks for offering.

I know that locating and scanning materials takes time, and so, nobody should knock themselves out. Just whenever it can happen.

Thanks!

1966 Appliances and Equipment catalog

Hi Sandy,

Your post reminded me that I bought the 1966 GE "Appliances and Equipment" catalog on eBay back in late March. (And I'm sure I paid what you'd consider an excessive amount for it!) Anyway, I need to figure out where I put it! I do recall being disappointed that there wasn't much, if any, information on the 40" ranges. There may be some useful information on the standard size ranges.

Once I find the catalog, I'll let you know, and we can decide whether I should send it to you or to the designated AE scanner.

Dean
