Is the Sensi-Temp unit on your Liberator an 8" unit or a 6"? IIRC the old 6" sensor was smaller.

I believe the yellow wire sensor is for the later ranges; white wires were for the earlier set-up. I think the distinguishing factor, besides the wire color, is if the burner is labeled "Automatic" it uses the earlier white wire style, "Sensi-Temp" is the revised yellow wire.

As for when the change happened, it appears to have been around the 1960 time frame when the switch changed from a slider to push button/dial.

This sensor works on the early 8" sensor element ranges, probably roughly 1957-1961-2 ?, usually these early sensors had white wires but I think at some point that all replacement sensors had yellow wires. To work on these earlier ranges the sensor needs to be 10 ohms, the later sensors were 17.5 ohms and also had a different mounting bracket.

Thanks for the replies. The sensi-temp is called "Automatic" on my stove, and it does have the sliding lever vs. the piano keys. It is located on the left front burner which is 8".

I've attached a picture of what the underneath looks like as well as the wiring of the slider (ignore circle around the thermistor--that was for another post)

Hi, The sensor for ale on Ebay is not the one that fits your range, your range has a hydraulic sensor that is permanently attached to the control switch.
