Over the last week I've been staying in a cabin as my partner and I visit his family, and there's a newly installed GE Spacemaker stackable topload washer/dryer. Our host has done a few loads and I've listened very carefully to the phases of the cycle.
it sounds like a direct drive agitation, and apparently automatically determines the water level. One on load, it sounded like after several minutes of agitation, it injected more water and agitated further. In all cases, after the drain and spin from the washer, I hear water being injected, and a bunch of motor pulses...I'd love to watch, but of course cannot as a guest! I suspect it's the tub nudging around as water injects. It never really fills, but eventually goes to a slow spin as it injects. It then sounds like it drains, and starts the process again, and after a few minutes does a full spin, and that's it!
Does anyone here have experience with these new top loaders that don't do a full fill for the rinse? I know this one has the fabric softener option which I think will do a full fill for the rinse...but I'm wondering just how well the standard rinse works.
