I thought I would share the contraption I built out of scrap to successfully remove the clutch carrier plate and shaft extension from the motor on my Filter Flo. The stud across the top and the 2 foot threaded rod were from an earlier project where I replaced one the external doors on my house. The other lumber used was from pieces of a pallet that I dismantled so it wouldn't take up so much room in my garage. At the top of the threaded rod I have two nuts jammed against each other to give me something to use to keep the rod from turning. I put a nail through the roll-pin hole on the end of the shaft extension. I drilled out a larger hole in a piece of plumbing strap so I could run the rod through it. I used PB Blaster on this as well. If this approach hadn't worked, I was planning to try a slide-hammer puller or a propane torch or an induction heater, none of which I have.
