GE Ultra Vent at Costco

I've been seeing a TOL GE Ultra Vent washer at a local Costco for some time now.

It's a model 850, which I believe is the TOL model. The listed price is $1049. Not bad when you consider that's about what my Maytag Neptune MAH 7500 cost back around 2000.

My only puzzle is that there's no matching dryer on display. And, also, there's only this display model GE, no washers ready to go in the store that I can see. Perhaps that's the new Costco process: display a sample of the washer, and then have it delivered.

Although my Neptune is still running strong, I am intrigued by this new GE.

Anybody have one yet?

I'm curious how the Microban antimicrobial technology works and if chemicals are used to achieve their end goal.

I'm surprised nobody hasn't brought back and adapted ozone lights for front loading washers.

I view the Microban as a sort of gimmick. A properly vented front loader that runs occasional hot washes and cleans stuff thoroughly should not need it. Look at Miele.
