GE Washer and Dryer?

Hello everyone, I have the chance to buy a lightly used GE front-load washer (Model # WCVH6800 and Serial # VS205850T) and dryer (Model # DCVH680EJ1WW and Serial # TS741966A) for $300.00. I"m wondering what your thoughts are on GE washers/dryers. I believe these were purchased in 2010. Right now I have a 1991 Whirlpool that is pretty rough on my clothes, and I'd like something that would be more gentle.

Wouln't touch it with a 39 & a 1/2 ft pole...

We used to have a GE pair and they only lasted 4 years before the drum bearings went out. Drum bearings are unreplaceable unless you replace the entire drum.

For 300 bucks you can't go wrong. Make sure you see them run before you plop down the cash. The washer is surprisingly decent, the dryer I don't really care for
