Selectrics are BRILLIANT~

I've personally been using them weekly since the 70s (it's what I learned to type on). Inspite of being a PC/Mac user since the 80s, NOTHING is more gratifying to me than the sound, keyboard feel and PRIVACY involved with these machines. I can still rattle text out at about 105wpm on a Selectric.

My "daily" is a 1962 personal sized Selectric (crazy for the original sculpted styling)--also have two others in red and black from the mid 1960s. For customs forms / labeling etc. I run an '84 Correcting Selectric III

Get a "clickey" keyboard!

I'm in the process of putting together a computer set-up for my new office.

But the keyboard is key. I'm looking at a "Ducky" keyboard with the "Cherry" keys.

"Unicomp" own the complete tooling and production rights to the IBM Model-M keyboard used in yesteryear. You can still purchase them - bit expensive, but their quality and feel (and noise!!!) is unsurpassed :)
