Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

It seems rare to ever see a window in those type ovens from ge. I've been searching for a double oven for a while. Previous to the jk29 and 29 I only come across a handful that have a window and it a small rectangle at that. I wish I had saved the picture of the white one I stubbed across the other night. The Upper oven had a window.

I sent a message on the fridge days ago I could use it as a spare but they never replied. Also it's 10 hrs away from me so maybe it's best they did not.

We had about that same frig (Ours also had the foot pedal) when I was young and a copper tone dishwasher. I always liked the shelves that swung out. I am sure if one turns up near me it will follow me home.

The oven looks almost exactly like the one in my neighbor's house, which was installed in '65. However it is in Brushed Chrome, and has a window.

The one shown (Coppertone) is a standard clean version, and would likely be the least expensive wall oven GE offered at the time. The first few years of the P*7 wall ovens had no window(s); think they came out on the '67 line.

GE introduced this basic style sometime in '59, and used it until the early 90's, with some restyling along the way. The first versions ('59 & '60) had somewhat smaller windows, the same size as the original wall ovens introduce in '54. On that style ('54 - '58), it is rare to see a window. I don't think any GE ranges had windows until at least '57. Pulltostart probably knows exactly what model first had windows.
