We have them all over the place in Southern Europe

They do and they don't work. If you think of them like an over-priced oil-mop from the 19th century, then, yes, they work.

If you think of them like they are advertising them, no, waste of money.

I'd take a pass on it unless you are doing a very small (one meter by one meter) swatch of marble which really never gets all that dirty. Then, you'd love it.

I have the H2O mop - bought it after I had laminate flooring installed. I find it works great. I have tried a couple of different kinds of cleaners made especially for laminate flooring but I find that they both left streaks (my flooring is dark so streaks are more noticeable). Using the H2O mop I have not had that problem. After using the mop I just remove the fibre cloth and wash with my other whites in the washing machine.

I bought the Eureka badged steam mop a few years ago. Very nice, sanatizes without chemicals. Cuts grease off the kitchen floor with no problem. Dries instantly. I only paid $39 on closeout, I don't consider it a bad buy.

I have the Shark floor steamer.Same idea as the H2O mop.
Works great.I was just looking at the dirty microfiber cloth.
It picked up an apple seed and a staple and held it.

We had one badged by Kenwood used it half a dozen times and just found it all too much work and went back to the mop and bucket.

It takes up space, can we awkward to drain after each use and the one we had, had a shortish cord that never reached anywhere.

A waste of money has been our experience.

We've got a couple as well. One is a canister model with all kinds of steam cleaning attachments, the other an upright not dissimilar to the one in your ad. We've had them for many years (+10), and I can't recall the last time we've used them. To be fair they do work to a point, but as has been observed by others, they are more effective on small surfaces and too much of a bother. For floor care nothing beats our Hoover steam vac and floor mate. They wash, scrub and suck everything up - hygienically clean, streakfree and dry in an instant.
