Purchased from ebay a couple of years ago for much less than that!
That model was in the stores in the early 70's, a 50th anniversary model for the masses. I don't know how many were sold, but would suspect they are rather rare.
The one bummer about this machine is the gold tarnishes! Anyone have any suggestions on how it could be polished without ruining it?

The reason it is going for that high price Jeff....
is because the guy that goes by the name of Grouch is bidding on it and whenever he wants something he bids it up outrageously so he can get it.
