The industrial design

of the whirlpool belt drive washers of the 70's and early 80's was perfection. The slant of the dashboard. The lettering. The handle on the lid with the reminder that it is HEAVY DUTY. Very good industrial design.

Is an LHA5800 if I'm not mistaken, which is 1980-81 model year.  18-lb with winged Double-Duty Super Surgilator.

I always thought these timers felt cheap and plasticy compared to the older style with the cycles on the knob that you turned.
