Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Shorts and a short sleeved shirt to work today. High was around 80. Low-mid 80's for tomorrow & Wednesday as well. Shorts both days.

I was politely told that I need to wear long pants at my Tues/Wed morning job... Well, if they don't like it I'll leave. I'm not endangering my health. My heart's pumping efficiency is still in heart failure range (although good for another 50 years. Go figure)

As it is I doubt I'll get much sleep tonight. The building's heating/cooling system has already switched over to heating. While I can turn the heat off, I can't change the temp of the water flowing through.

I'm in the Seattle area, living in a place that isn't the best insulated. I've running the furnace since late September. I had hoped to make it to 10/1, but such was not the case. Although it wasn't running much then. It's running more now, although the serious heating probably doesn't begin until Nov. sometime.

I have had the heat on for a couple of weeks now. We have had frost a few nights already. On another note, we had an earthquake last Fri. afternoon at 2:33 pm. I was sitting at my desk and heard a loud boom and then the house shook for 2-3 seconds. I thought my neighbour had cut down a tree that fell too close to my house but I looked all around and did not see anything. I found out later that it was a 3.1 magnitude quake centered about 10 km east of me.

The DAILY During-The-Day Climate Change!

A/C during the day, to furnace at night, to back to A/C next day, for us, too...

Seems, also, as though mommy dresses Laura warmly every morning before going to school, just for it to be 90° the very afternoon we pick her up...

I envy you guys. We have a Carrier Infiniti System which we had put in last April. (We bought it before they decided to move all of the manufacturing down to Mexico.)

It's been hovering around the low 30's (F) here and the furnace has been keeping up with it quite nicely. We shut off the A/C about a month ago.

We have the system on a schedule.. 72 F normally when we're at home, 66 F when we're at work and 68 F at night.

We had that furnace in the morning / AC in the evening weather about roughly a month ago, but now it has considerably cooled down.

I'm curious to know what'll happen when it hits -40 here in a few months and how much cheaper the utilities bill will be. (We previously had a Carrier Weathermaker mid efficiency furnace.)
