Just like my parents that they got in 1964 along with the two oven Flair when they redid the kitchen. That refrigerator lasted them until 2000 and they bought a POS Roper. The 1964 replaced a 1948 Frigidaire that went to the garage store room to hold clod drinks and veggies from the garden in the summer.
I have a smaller 16 cu. ft. Imperial (64" tall) from 1964 and a 16 cu.ft Imperial (69¾" tall) from 1963 too. I really like them!
1964 was the first year for thinner insulation which allowed to get a 16 cubic feet refrigerator in the same cabinet as the 14 cubic feet models from 1963-64 and Imperial Nineteen was about the same size as the 16 cubic feet refrigerator from 1963.
The white one is from 1964 and the brushed chrome one is from 1963.
