In another thread in another section, people were thanking our dear host, Robert-Unimatic1140, and I also wanted to thank him, but I also wanted to make this into a thread of general thanks for AutomaticWasher.org, and the people here.

Overall, we get along pretty well, most of the time. Some message boards on other sites are far less civil.

I look to this site as a collection of equals, a community.

I am sure I may have inadvertantly, at times, irritated others, as others have inadvertantly irritated me, but it generally doesn't last long.

I really love the fact that we try to be civilised human beings here, and that while we may once in a while get a little enthusiastic(?) or even wild, it is is in good spirits.

Thank you Robert!
You are simply the best, and we love you my dear!

I certainly enjoy this site, and have made many friends here. It is my favourite site, and I look forward to it every day.

Lawrence, everything you said holds true to this WONDERFUL site and FANTASTIC people on it. We may disagree on a variety of subjects, but in the end we're ultimately friends. And in person, we all are lucky to have something that other clubs can only dream of, and that is MUTUAL RESPECT for one another.

Thanks to Robert for creating this site, so, as both large and small appliance afficionados, we can get together and discuss our favorite obsession not only digitally, but in person as well. I believe it was Robert himself that said "It's the analog times that keep us so strong in a digital way." And I couldn't agree more...

Thank You Robert

And thanks to ALL OF YOU for giving me something to look forward to each day .........T H A N K Y O U A L L !

Well said, Lawrence!!!

Thank you Robert, for the cool place to visit every day. And thanks to all, without whom....there would be nothing to read! LOL =)

Seriously though, Lawrence is right. There is a great bunch of people, right here. Supportive, fun, very kind people, willing to share their knowledge, experiences, and their time, and really....what is worth more than that?

I have no vintage washers.

I have no vintage dryers.

I have one semi-vintage dishwasher.

By all accounts, I shouldn't even be here.

But just try to keep me away! I love seeing everyone's collections. Every time someone gets some fabulous "new" Kelvinator or whatever, it's like a birth. And everyone shows up for the Christening.

Every day I say a prayer of thanks to Robert for what he's done and what he continues to do. This is FAR more than just a site for washer fanatics. To me, it's my home away from home full of people I truly love. Words cannot express my gratitude, or the joy I get from the wonderful friends I've made here.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I knew when I found this site I would enjoy it. What I didn't know is that it would change my life.

Robert

I have to say that this site and the VCCC site you created have changed my life completly. You are a wonderful person!

Both sites have become part of my daily routine, I am bound and determined to be one of the 1st ten to view the picture of the day of the vacuum site....

Living in a house with around 1000 square feet doesn't allow me to collect more than vacuums. (well a Lawn-Boy or 2) So seeing all the posts on this forum with the washers and other appliances fills that need for me.

Your the greatest and from the VCCC please know that we all Love and appreciate you as well.

Morgan

I just joined this site the other day, and it is by far one of my favorite sites now :D

VCCC? *checks that out* OMG :D

Roberts generosity and playfullness just oozes everytime i see the bouncing pulsator on the home page or see his latest video. Robert, your *giving* is amazing. i will stop fawning now. David

PS: Just yesterday night my washer have done the Synthetic cycle and the Dark Colorfast (jeast, suite, sweater...), they're hunging out... today's shining :-D This evening I will prepare the Delicates and the Whites...it will be up to my siss ANYWAY!!! :-)) But no matter if I had to do them the same..

Im going to be the first Brit to say THANKYOU.

Like other memebers have said the day I found this website my world changed!

Still cant get over the fact im not the only one and this site which I visit daily, makes me feel so much better.
I left my phone at home the other day and it was torture not being able to catch up at work on my breaks. How i got through it i dont know....

I find it still very freaky talking on the phone to other members and tend to gabble on a fair bit out of sheer excitement and the weirdness and all that LOL.

I think meeting another member or someone else who admitted to liking washers would be like an out of life experience.

Well thankyou Robert for making my life complete!

Best wishes and Godd Health for the Future.

you should be here too. You bring us much needed lafs and fun.. You are one of Hazel's Sunshine girls. And we all love you!

Covering the cost.

I have noticed on some websites that they have a little button on the homepage to contribute to the costs of this website. Some of them use Paypal, which would be a good way for us overseas people.

I love this site I have been looking at it everyday since it first came into existense and is something I always look forward too.

Well thanks everyone for their kind words here and in the other threads, its my pleasure and I'm thrilled I'm able to do it for our washer community.

Thank You! :-)

Bah! Nick beat me to it! ;-) Thank you, too. :-)

This indeed a very nice place to visit. I have other interests as well (please don’t hurt me!), but I do enjoy reading about anything ‘domesticated’ (i.e. laundry, dishes, etc.) :-)

If I get better, I know I could run my own home – I’m not the stereotypical British male that does not know what fabric conditioner is!

I really do enjoy coming here, and thank you for making it possible. :-) Hi to everyone who knows me. :-)

Carl

PS Nick, I know you’ve not said anything about this, but it would be great if you could visit me, but I’m really not up to it healthwise. :-( I would love to have you round anyway, although Jon’s barred because I think he’s too hyperactive! ;-) (Only joking, Jon! ;-)) Maybe sometime in the future, m8. :-) I love having people round anyway. Even the friends I know locally only stay for a little while and at certain times. Still, I’ll just have to make do. :-)
