I have some cloth napkins that have real stubborn grease spots.
I tried Dawn, Greased Lightening, and Simple Green. I just can't get them out. I'm using Warm Wash and Warm Rinse.

May I call on the Club for sugesstions ? Thanks, Eddie

was the traditional answer and it still works - enzymes.

Get an enzymatic stop-treater (Dr. Beckman's at Walmart is really great) for grease. Follow the directions exactly.

That should do it.

AMMONIA is great degreaser.

But DO NOT USE if you have a cat(s). To them it registers as urine and says "pee here".

If one already has used ammonia (around cats) it MUST be neutralized with an acid such as vinegar or lemon. Just be aware that citrusy smells repel cats.

A soak in very hot water and good old-fashioned washing soda will remove grease.

Washing soda and enzymes are in most powdered dishwasher detergents... do you have any? Cascade would work.

I keep a box of Arm and Hammer washing soda on hand for just this kind of thing... it works really well on greasy roasting pans, too.

Just be careful not to get the soaking water on your skin, it'll dissolve the natural oils and give you a terrible case of "dishpan hands!"
