I acquired this 18” dishwasher for free for my grandma to use. She lives in a rent controlled apartment with a very small kitchen, but this is perfect size for her kitchen and her needs. Is a bit of a quirky machine though. No unicoupler, a separate drain hose and a fill hose. I had to zip tie the two together so the drain hose would stay put. There is no pressure release for the water. Also it’s manual clean filters. The Bosch I had did just fine with these filters but this machine not so much. It’s definitely a scraping machine, it doesn’t seem to do well with large amounts of food soil. Also the filters don’t really seem to fit together properly, I’ve already noticed the top arm has a tendency to get stuff caught in the jets. I haven’t watched it through an entire cycle, but it seems to not have a pre wash on any cycle. There is a covered detergent cup, but it flips the cup open right away on both normal and heavy cycle. Also it doesn’t haven’t a heated dry but rather a vented dry, where it turns the exposed heating element on and runs the drain pump for the duration of the dry cycle. That being said it does seem to clean well, everything I’ve put in it comes out clean. It’s not a heavy duty machine, but it will work for grandma.
