Haier recall

Haier are recalling washing machines under the haier and bush brands (sold at argos). Apparently there is a component in the control panel which can overheat and lead to a fire risk.

Can't say that I am at all surprised. Whay makes me wonder though, is whether the haier machines sold at comet are affected? Not only that but how about all the oem brands? I know some of our own brands at currys are produced by haier, comet had proline and I think technolec, there's probably many more.

Suprising?

No, not suprised at all. Our school has a Bush machine on the recall list, but I'm not sure if they'll repair it as it's in a commercial environment doing in excess of 4-5 loads per day.
