Halloween is just around the corner...

So now that we are nearing Halloween I was watching the original Halloween movie and was wondering what model this washer and dryer set was.

Whirlpool ... probably circa 1970 to 1972.

I believe 1972. In an earlier scene where the babysitter (soon to be victim) was loading her clothes into the washer, you could just about see that it had a metal tub ring, and 1972 was about the last year before they went plastic. The same model washer is featured in one of Dick S's photos in the "Photos of Our Collections", and his caption said it was from 1972 IIRC. Side note: His had a Super Rotoswirl agitator, which obviously had replaced a Super Surgilator.

I love it when they show Halloween with the expanded view. It was only then I found out the matching dryer had a full width door.
