Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Nothing here. Will just be buying numerous bags of Halloween size chocolate bars etc, eating most of them myself and doling out the rest to whoever comes to the door. We didn't have too too many kids last year, maybe 30 or so all evening but alot more kids have moved into our neighborhood this past year. More houses than ever are dressed up for Halloween this year even compared to last year.. lots of those WalMart inflatables and other stuff. It's really turned into a decorating event almost rivaling Christmas don't you think.

Ghost Tours

A group of friends got together last night and took the Ghost Tour in Norcross, GA. It was fun. We have taken GT's in the past. This one was more story telling than anything paranormal. But we still had a good time.

Next weekend, we may take the tour in Roswell, GA.

My Students

always get to watch a film like "Killing Mona Dearly" or similar.
Has to be pretty broad humor or they won't catch enough to follow it.
Would love to do one of the Laurel and Hardy's, but can't get permission from the Copyright owner.
I bake Halloween style cupcakes and dress up. About 1/3 to 1/2 my students do, too.

Halloween Parade

For the 10th year in a row, my friends and I are going to the Halloween Parade in the Village. It gets a little crowded, so we're getting there early. Even though it can be very crazy, I'm looking foward to it. Some people are very, very creative!

We're throwing a party for our first Halloween at the new place. It's a busy night with kids being hauled over to our 'hood from the real 'hoods to do their trick-or-treating. I'm not much into answering the door all night so it'll just be a free-for all when the bell rings. Last night friends brought over a fogger machine and we tried it out. It worked great and interestingly, it looked more real staring out into the swirling fog from inside the house. We also just had a large tree in the parking strip removed and there is a long mound of ground up stump remains mixed in with dirt so we're going to make it a grave. We don't usually get into Halloween like this so I hope the kids aren't going to expect this every year. More than likely the house will be dark and we'll be gone or hanging in the rear den next year!

Halloween, You mean Gay Christmas?

Just came back last night from Cedar's Campground year end Halloween bash.
Sleeping in a tent sounded like a good idea at the time till the temprature dropped to -3 and the tent was covered in frost.
I am going to Toronto for Halloween proper, can't wait for the street parade.
If anyone goes all out for decorating, I would love to see some pictures of your house.

This may sound boring, but I am spending Halloween with my friend's 9 (yes, count 'em 9) kids! I dress up and take them out trick or treating. I guess I'm just a big kid at heart!

oooh hhoney what are YOU supposed to pass for, a man? *LOL*

OMG they definitely need a TV in the bedroom....and fast!

OOOOH haven;t done Hallowen in Greenwich Village Manhattan in decades. Wouldn't that be fun!

Day of the DEAD

DOTD sounds like an awesome good time. Y'all have FUN! Have a drink for the rest of us who have to hang around and hand out candy to the little bastards. Oops, I mean children!

Have fun in Mexico Rich... and bring someone, OOPS, I mean s

This year I will probably just make the house dark and hide out, avoiding the hoards of kids.

That is unless someone talks me into going up to West Hollywood to check out the annual Halloween event up there (quite the spectacle).........

About 6 years ago I created a "Haunted House Maze" in my (XL) garage. Once it was all said and done, there were 9 people inside "working" the maze and LOTS of screams coming from within! It was a lot of fun for all who helped, but I got so much grief from my now Ex (but that is another story...) I only did it that one year.

Saturday I attended a pumpkin carving party... a nice, fun event. Pictured are the results of the attendees' efforts.

My creation... the two-headed beast! I won "most original".

Another comment about my past maze, I think the biggest hit, or one of most effective items in it was the "starry wall". A wall about 10 feel long the people walked past, which had random stars or dots of paint all over the "wall" which glowed under black lights. Standing against the wall, also dressed in black and dotted with the same paint, was a friend who would make subtle movements as the "guests" were almost past, just catching the outer limit of their peripheral vision. VERY effective!

Going to the theatre to avoid having to answer the door to the legalised muggers masquerading as 'trick or treaters' in this town!

Oh yeah Pete, my partner bought a 150-piece bag of mini candy bars over a month ago and we ate every last one of them. He just came home from Costco yesterday with TWO more bags. They are currently out of sight and I'm hoping they will stay out of mind.

Oh Dave

45 ain't so bad. I hit the mark in September, just a few more grey hairs. Now you can play the "Daddy" role. Ralph, ...the WHOLE bag??

Everybody in the neighborhood thinks my house is haunted so I expect a few visitors on halloween. I have a grim reaper robe to wear when I greet them at the door. The only spirits they will find will be named Jack or Smirnoff.

Yeah Dave, I agree with Greg. I've come to the conclusion that I need to start embracing he "Daddy" role myself. Not in every situation, but in the interest of remaining active, the "Daddy" thing must be factored in. You'll do fine at 45. I'm a firm believer that life begins at 40 so you're in your prime, Dave!

And yeah Greg, the whole bag. Amazingly enough, it wasn't in one sitting. And your place sounds like ours will be on Halloween with Jack, Johnny, Margarita, MaryJane and a host of others all on board.

I'm playing piano for a musical all this (and next) month. So, I'll be tickling the ivories to Thoroughly Modern Millie on Halloween. Oh, and I'll be hoping no one eggs my house, as there will be no one there to hand out treats.

A work night?

And what kind of work might that be?

Ralph, wow the whole bag! I guess I'm lucky that I don't like sweets or anything with sugar. Candy and sweet stuff turns my stomach. Hot and spiced up is the order of the day for me.

Dave, post 40 is when the real fun starts!!!!

It's the usual routine.. Kids showing up with their parents, the kids get candy and their parents get frightened by the only gay couple living in our entire neighborhood.

And Davy, most guys would be lucky to be that good looking at 25.
