Hey, Guys & Gals, I thought since it's been a little gloomy around here I would
bring a little sunshine. Well, I couple of weeks ago I was trying to post some pictures which were too big so I think I finally got it this time...I have a new Apple mini Mac. Anyway, my best friend just got a new home in Media, Pa. He said "Darren ... you are going to love this backyard." (Yaa . . . trying to get me to do
sheets) Well, it worked! He got me when I saw this LINE...

So Come on with me Come on..........

Ok the washer in Media. Pa. Was a G.E. Direct Drive. Ooh i think i did 7 to 8 loads in this guy. Dan was excited to tell me about the washer because it has six wash & spin speeds which he will only use one! ( Normal/Fast ) lol

Controls.

This is not my machine of choice, but I work with anything.. it was fun playing with the washer I like the pulsed wash for colors. I think three min agitate 3min soak in a gentle action mode.

Tub Shot not ribbed... I belive this spins at 620 or 640 the clothes where real heavy in moisture, not use to that... I spin sheets in my asko at 900 to 1100 Rpm. The sheets took about two are three hours from the Ge.. vers a higher spin speed which takes a half to an hour on my line at home depending on the thickness.

Detergents used.
Dan's
1.Arm & Hammer with Oxi clean.

2. Snuggles Emarald ,,,Something... not bad he likes it.

3. LCB. CLOROX. REGULAR on some sheets.

Most cycle used REGULAR / FAST.... AND PULESD ON RED SHEETS.

May the sun be with you Guys.

Laundry on the line!

Now THAT's been a rare sight this year... Thanks for reminding us that the summer hasn't been a total waste!
Great looking house, BTW!! I love the porch - just makes you want to curl up in a wicker chair with a good book!!

Great post, love the opening scenes. All summer it's been hit anad miss about putting my laundry on the line, in between the clouds and rain.Of course when I've got no laundry the sun is out. But things are getting better at least for August

But this little place in south Boston is a very last of a we

The South End has really taken a turn for the better since a lot of "family" has moved in. That could explain it!

Thanks, guys, for the nice responses. Jim, I wished that was my yard. That is why I had a ball hanging clothes lol. Paul, that porch is nice but.... in front of the house is traffic (LOUD, LOUD, LOUD) so I don't think you would get through a paragraph. By the way, your kitchen is stunning! Pete, the weather here in Philly has seen a lot of sunshine. Hanging clothes has not been a problem here, maybe it might get better for you. Louis, I said earlier I love their yard if I could only use some of your washers. I would be there all week. Nice machines you have, love the Phillips! Rich, the laundromat in Boston is so clean with an assortment of different machines. I was blown away so I will show later.

Hydralique & Roger, you guys made my day! Here is my little line in the city. OOPS, by the way, the title should have been LATE SUMMERTIME CLOTHESLINE THREAD. Oh well.

Frigidaire towels?

NEAT! Where'd you find those, Darren?? Did you have send in 10 box tops from a new front-loader?? lol

Awesome clotheslines - stretching all through the yard is too fun!
Where did you get the Frigidaire towels? Even though it's not the same as the GM, there's something about that script that evokes and "awwww" in me every time I see it. That GE washer with the pulse-washing would suit me fine, better than constant thrashing otherwise. I think that's one of the best ways to wash really dirty clothes - soak and agitate intermittently.

Here is my clothes line from a couple of weeks ago - notice the Purex all-in-one sheet hanging on the line to get the full benefit of the softening power ;-)
